Chiropractic Manipulative Therapy

a hands-on technique which restores proper motion and alignment to the spine and extremities.

Graston Technique

Graston Technique® is an innovative, patented form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions. The technique utilizes specially designed stainless steel instruments to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation which cause pain and restricted mobility. www.grastontechnique.com

Nutrition

The key to decreasing pain and inflammation is by eating a diet high in Omega 3 fatty acids and providing the body with key nutritional support. We offer nutritional consultations and recommend specific supplements that help speed recovery and decrease the inflammatory response to injury. www.anaboliclabs.com

Massage

Therapeutic massage provided by Lori A. McLean, LMBT who offers various bodywork therapies to speed recovery and decrease pain. www.lorimclean.massagetherapy.com

Erchonia Low Level Laser Therapy

The first laser in the world to receive FDA 510(k) market clearance for the treatment of chronic neck and shoulder pain. Within the injured musculoskeletal tissue, low level laser light initiates increased micro- circulation and enhanced tissue regeneration. The overall effects are decreased pain and inflammation, and increased range of motion. www.erchonia.com

Muscle Stimulation

Therapy involves low levels of electrical impulses delivered to the injured, painful tissues to reduce pain and speed healing. These impulses stimulate the body to release natural pain relievers, called endorphins. Endorphins reduce pain and inflammation, thereby promoting faster healing of the injured tissues. This therapy is often used to treat acute or chronic pain, as well as strains or sprains of the muscles, joints, and soft tissues of the spine and extremities.

Ultrasound

A therapeutic procedure that utilizes sound waves to treat injured muscles, joints, and soft tissues. The sound waves penetrate the layers of tissues and as they meet resistance which create a deep, micro-massage effect. With acute injury this helps to decrease scar tissue and adhesion formation. The sound waves also decrease inflammation by destroying unwanted inflammatory cells. The sound waves also accelerate healing by stimulating the activity of the cells responsible for cellular and tissue repair. In chronic cases, heating the deeper tissues along with the micro-massaging effect of ultrasound helps to decrease muscle spasms.

Foot Levelers Pelvic Stabilizers

An orthotic is designed to restore and support your natural foot function. Many complaints such as arch pain, heel pain, knee pain, hip pain and low back pain are caused by poor foot function and altered biomechanics. Orthotics support and re-align the foot/ankle bones to their neutral position, thereby restoring natural foot function. In turn this helps alleviate problems in other parts of the body and creates a stable base.

Kinesiotaping

This cotton tape, which is about the thickness of a layer of skin, waterproof and stretchable, is often seen on professional athletes with varying colors. It is utilized over muscles and tissue to assist and support injured areas. The tape can be applied in various ways to prevent or restrict motion, decrease swelling and reduce pain to an injured area. An application can be worn up to 4-5 days.
